For our students, we have developed the Police Applicant Success System (PASS) to help all potential police applicants throughout Australia not only prepare correctly to satisfy the minimum entry criteria, but to maximise their chances of success during the selection process and then perform well in police training.

When applying for the Tasmania Police, there are no formal educational requirements. Tertiary qualifications or sound Year 12 results are desirable. An applicant’s work and life experiences are also considered during the selection process (Tasmania Police 2008).

However, our experience provides that people who have participated in the study of Justice Administration and our P.A.S.S, not only perform at a higher level during a police selection process, but are also better prepared for the study and physical requirements during police training.

Our course selections have been designed to maximise each applicants individual performance during police testing.

Our experience provides that the police selection process is based upon merit and is very competitive (Tasmania Police 2008). Strengths of written applications, standards of performance during the assessment stage, commitment to achievement, demonstrated skills in the Essential Criteria and other varying factors are considered by the police Selection Board.

Tasmania Police (2008) states that 'applicants intending to make application should make every effort to research the nature of duties and role of the front line police officer.

What College course do I study?

The following courses have been selected and designed in line with the students life and work experience, which in most cases indicates the correct level of maturity when performing police duties.
